Unfortunately, earlier today, we were devastated to learn of the sudden passing of our Club Legend and Dear Friend Billy Caulfield.

Billy was a true gent, a loyal clubman and a great supporter of all things maroon and white. Few things outside of family, brought more joy to Billy than seeing our club participating and succeeding on the hurling fields. 

Billy’s gentlemanly character, infectious smile and laugh and huge presence will be sorely missed around our club and the playing fields of Galway. 

A more detailed tribute will follow in due course. 

A book of condolences will be opened from this evening in our clubhouse to allow people to pay tribute in their own time to Billy.
